Senior Accountant

Location: HONOLULU, HI

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Director with various fiscal tasks in the business office, including accounting, patient billing, collections, accounts payable, payroll, tax returns, audits, budgeting, compliance, and operational improvements. It requires strong proficiency in accounting and tax matters and the ability to manage diverse tasks to enhance the organization's efficiency.

Salary Range: $73,800.00 - $94,095.00

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare resident statements, posts resident billing, and posts payments to the accounts receivable ledger. Works with customers on reconciling their accounts and statements.
  2. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting principles.
  3. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
  4. Manage reconciliations, including general ledger accounts, bank statements, and balance sheets.
  5. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  6. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  7. Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient accounting practices.
  8. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  9. Partner with HR in processing payroll adjustments and correction


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, desired
  2. Minimum 5 years proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
  3. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Familiarity with health/medical billing-related patient terminology
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  9. Knowledge of Point Click Care software, desired
